Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakandi is dead on arrival at the box office, Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz, 1921 also underperform

Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi opened on a dull note at the box-office and earned Rs 1.25 crore on Friday and Rs 1.20 crore on Saturday for a total of Rs 2.45 crore in two days.

Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi opened on a dull note at the box-office and earned Rs 1.25 crore on Friday and Rs 1.20 crore on Saturday for a total of Rs 2.45 crore in two days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the figures on Twitter.

The film stars Saif as the protagonist, who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. His character does not have much time in hand and he decides to make the most of his remaining days.

The film clashed with Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz and the horror thriller 1921. Mukkabaaz collected Rs 75 lakh on Friday and Rs 1.5 crore on Saturday for a total of Rs 2.3 crore. Meanwhile 1921 minted Rs 1.50 crore on its opening day and a further Rs 2.03 crore on day 2, taking its total to Rs 3.65 crore.
