Hero, a joint production of filmmaker Subhash Ghai and

Salman Khan

, will mark the debut of Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya. The film is slated to hit theatres on September 4.

Sooraj and Athiya are stepping into the shoes of Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri respectively.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, Hero is a remake of Ghai's 1983 movie of the same name.

Salman Khan tweeted, "Back off, HERO coming on 4th September @HeroTheFilm."
