Salman's film title in copyright issue with AR Rahman

Salman Khan’s soon-to-be-released film, Jai Ho, has run into legal trouble over its title. Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman reportedly owns the rights to that title after he created a song by that name in 2008.

Salman Khan’s soon-to-be-released film, Jai Ho, has run into legal trouble over its title. Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman reportedly owns the rights to that title after he created a song by that name in 2008, for the Oscar-winning hit, Slumdog Millionaire. “Use of the trademark requires an official licence from Rahman,” Rahman’s lawyer was quoted as telling a tabloid.
