Screaming during a scene affects Kareena's voice

While shooting for an intense scene for her upcoming film, Kareena Kapoor Khan strained her vocal chords and, in the process, lost her voice for a few hours.

Bollywood actors have often admitted that shooting for intense scenes can take a toll on them not only emotionally, but also physically. Kareena Kapoor Khan recently had a similar experience, when she was enacting a dramatic scene for director R Balki’s next.

A source close to the actor says, “It was an emotional scene, where she was supposed to be arguing with Arjun Kapoor, who plays her husband in the film. She was required to scream a lot. It was during this performance that she lost her voice temporarily. For two hours, she couldn’t speak at all. She even tried gargling with warm water to soothe her throat, but that didn’t help either.”

Apparently, the unit members then got a doctor to visit Kareena on the sets. After being given an injection, she felt slightly better. The source adds, “But the moment she started recovering, instead of getting some rest, Kareena decided to start shooting for another scene, which, she knew, would not be too exhausting. She didn’t want to waste the day.”
