Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of Caribbean Premier League franchise Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), made headlines when he shook a leg with cheerleaders at a match between TKR and Jamaica Tallawahs at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad on Saturday. Now, the actor has won some more hearts in the Caribbean, after calling Trinidadian cricketer and commentator Ian Bishop one of his all-time favourite players.
Bishop on Monday tweeted a string of photographs of himself interviewing Shah Rukh during a match played by TKR, which is led by all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, along with the caption, “Got the chance to meet King Khan tonight at the Hero Caribbean Premier League 2018 (Hero CPL). Such an aura about him, and yet a sense of humility.”
To this, the ever-charming actor replied: “Was a pleasure meeting you sir. Could not say it then but one of my all time favourite players. Please do say a big hello to the commentary team and Mel when you see them. Thanks for the love.”
Shah Rukh also thanked everyone for the love and wished he could spend some more time with the players from his team. “Play well and stay healthy boys. Will see you soon again,” added Shah Rukh, who was attending two home games on August 10 and 11.
On the work front, the actor just wrapped shoot for his upcoming film Zero, directed by Aanand L Raai. The actor will play the role of a dwarf in the film, which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
