He’s expressed a desire to play wrestler Babita Phogat on screen. The wrestler, on her part, didn’t waste any time in giving her nod: She tweeted on Wednesday that he can play Babita in Dangal 2.

Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon along side Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan.

“@shahidkapoor sir i read in newspaper anywhere ki aapki wish h ki aap babita phogat ka roll play kare dangal 2 se ye wish puri hogi aapki,” she wrote.

Babita then promised she will meet the Rangoon star soon.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal saw Aamir Khan playing former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Babita and Geeta for wrestling and they went ahead to win Olympic gold medals for India.
