is one of those few Bollywood actors, who have never shied away from trying all things risque — be it rocking a killer ­goatee, long locks or making even the bald look sexy. Filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who has directed Kapoor in Teri Meri Kahaani (2012), says, "Shahid takes keen interest in his ­character’s appearance in the film. In today’s time, it is important for actors to keep redefining ­themselves as per the look of the character, because the audience today is very sharp.



Trade analyst Taran Adarsh adds, "Shahid has amazed me with his will to experiment, not just with his roles, but also with his looks. He is one of the few actors in the industry who have experimented so much with their looks." Distributor Girish Johar says that Kapoor’s ever changing looks draw audience to the ­theatres.



"It is one of the key ingredient for his film’s success." Currently filming Vishal Bhardwaj’s cinematic adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Shahid is seen sporting a tonsured head. The 33-year-old is often seen ­making public ­appearances in his near-bald look.
