Shuddh Desi Romance collects Rs 23.27 crore over weekend

After receiving rave reviews for the performances of Sushant Singh and Parineeti Chopra, Shuddh Desi Romance is building up on great word of mouth. The film collected Rs 6.45 crore at the ticket windows on Friday.

Thanks to the great word of mouth, Maneesh Sharma's Shuddh Desi Romance has grossed over Rs 23 crore in its opening weekend.



With critics praising the performances of Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra, the film earned Rs 7.90 crore on Saturday, a slight increase from the opening day collection of Rs 6.45 crore.



On Sunday, the collections at ticket windows escalated to Rs 8.92 crore, making the total weekend earnings Rs 23.27 crore.



Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#ShuddhDesiRomance is a Hit, #Zanjeer debacle"
