A source says, “The art of weaving is dying, but Sonali is fond of the traditional Paithani weave. She wants to conduct an exhibition, giving weavers from remote corners of the state a chance to talk, showcase and sell their works. She is speaking to organisers and sponsors to come on board, and hopes to pull off a show that will revive this dying art form. The exhibition will be held in Mumbai in the next two months. The venue is yet to be decided.”
