Taapsee Pannu has proven that she sticks to her morals. The Pink (2016) actor, who is often asked to endorse brands and appear at events, recently backed out of an event when she learnt that she would be paid in cash. According to a source, the actor did so because being paid in cash would go against the Indian government’s efforts at digitization.

Taapsee says when our government has taken a big step to get rid of black money in our country, this is the least we can do.

A source says, “Taapsee knows the value of hard-earned money and always strives to do better in life. She had agreed for a meet and greet event in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. But two days before the event, Taapsee backed out, as she was told that she would be paid in cash. She was against getting hard cash, as that goes against the Indian government’s efforts at digitization. She told the organisers to pay her by cheque or transfer the money, but when they didn’t agree, she backed off from the said event.”

The actor will be seen with Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2.
