Varun Dhawan on going public about Natasha Dalal: I don’t have to do that

Actor Varun Dhawan says that he has been busy with work and didn’t have the time to read much about what’s written about him and his rumoured girlfriend, Natasha Dalal.

Actor Varun Dhawan has never really spoken about his relationship or even addressed link-up reports with rumoured girlfriend Natasha Dalal, which continue to do the rounds each time they are spotted together.

While Varun has always maintained that he wants to focus on his work, he agrees it gets tough at times to deal with the gossip. “Well, it [rumours] sometimes does play on your mind but, thankfully, this year has been very busy and I am grateful for that. I have only been working and have not been able to read much of the stuff that’s written about me,” says the actor, who is riding high on the success of his latest release, Shoojit Sircar’s October.

So, how does he deal with all this? “I just ignore it. I believe you can’t do anything beyond that,” says Varun, adding, “All you can do is make your work so powerful that people don’t have anything else to talk about but your work. Whenever my film releases, I hope people talk about it and not other things.”

The 31-year-old recently said in an interview that he does “believe in the institution of marriage”, so, when asked if he is planning to go public about his relationship status anytime soon, he quips, “I feel I don’t have to do that. It’s my personal space and that’s how I like it.”

However, Varun is quick to add that there’s still some time before he decides to talk more about his personal life. “You see, right now, I am packed with work. I am shooting for a film and have already signed my next. So, when I have more dates, I will talk more [about my relationship] but right now, I have no dates to go public about anything,” concludes the actor, who has starred in films such as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badlapur (2015), Dilwale (2015), and Judwaa 2 (2017).
