Varun Sharma has shot a short film on the lines of Mr Bean’s Holiday

Actor Varun Sharma talks about directing a short film and says that it requires a lot of hands-on training, experience and guidance.

Actor Varun Sharma of Dilwale (2015) and Fukrey (2013) fame is going places. After appearing in a travel series on television, the 26-year-old actor has donned another hat — he has directed a short film.

Actor Varun Sharma’s short film was shot in Budapest with one camera.

The actor made the most of his spare time while shooting for his next film in Europe and shot a short film based on the lines of Mr. Bean’s Holiday.

“The film is in post production stage. It was made in Budapest with one camera. I recorded and filmed everything taking place around me,” informs Varun, who has compiled moments of real people and of his own self in this short film that will be out soon.

Talking more about his short film, he adds, “It’s basically slice of life of different people and the cultural differences between us as Indians. It also has perspective of us when we travel abroad and fascinating things we see, along with encountering new cultures.”

This was Varun’s first attempt at direction and if given a chance, he would love to direct in future too, however he maintains he cannot take that up as a full-fledged profession as of now. “I am very happy acting right now. I want to just go ahead mastering that act only. Direction will also happen but not soon. I will keep doing little things to hone my direction skills.”
