Bollywood actors often travel out of town to shoot for their films. And, at times, they also miss out on spending time with their families on festivals. Recently, Vidya Balan was faced by a similar situation. She spent her Holi shooting for director Sujoy Ghosh’s next film in Kalimpong (West Bengal). When the actor, who was accompanied by her bodyguards, realised that they were also missing out on Holi celebrations, she decided to celebrate with them.

“Usually, she doesn’t celebrate Holi. But this time, she did, because she didn’t want her bodyguards to miss their families on the festival,” says a source close to Vidya.
The source adds that the actor applied gulaal on her bodyguards’ foreheads and wished them. “Initially, she started playing Holi by stamping her crew members with ink stamps. The production team then arranged for colours. They had a lot of fun on the sets,” adds the source.
