Why would I interfere in Soha's career, exclaims Saif Ali Khan

Says Saif Ali Khan, who is not happy about reports that he doesn’t approve of Soha’s intimate scenes in her upcoming film

For some time now, Saif Ali Khan has been inadvertently hitting headlines for a peculiar reason: the women — wife Kareena Kapoor and sister Soha Ali Khan — in his life.



First, it was widely reported that Bebo wouldn’t do any item numbers after her wedding to the Nawab. And now, it’s being suggested that Saif has disapproved of intimate scenes between Irrfan and Soha in the upcoming Tigmanshu Dhulia-directed film, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (SBAGR).

But the Cocktail (2012) actor isn’t amused at all. "I have just come back from Kolkata (after wrapping up a schedule of Bullet Raja, also directed by Tigmanshu). Soha has already had a word with me (about the scenes). It’s a completely baseless and senseless story. There’s absolutely no truth to it. Why would I interfere in anyone’s career — be it my sister or my wife?" says an upset Saif.

"Such reports only make me sound very stupid. In fact, I will have a word with the producers about it. I feel the (film’s) publicists need to calm down about constantly using my name to come up with stories to stay in the news," adds Saif, who has just had a big hit in the form of Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2. Some time ago, Saif was in the news about his wife Kareena’s item song, Fevicol se too. At that time, he told us that the song is "great". He had added, "For me, it was a family item song. But a lot of Salman’s (Khan) films are like that. So there’s never anything vulgar or worrisome about it. His films are for the entire family to love."

Will a special screening pacify Saif?
Saif Ali Khan is apparently upset with the makers of the Tigmanshu Dhulia-directed Bullet Raja after he was shown Tigmanshu’s other release, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, as it features some bold lovemaking scenes between his sister Soha Ali Khan and Irrfan.

The makers deny any tiff between the two, but are going to organise a special screening of the film for Saif and his wife Kareena, where others from the industry will also be invited. Producer Rahul Mittra confirmed the news, saying, “We will hold the screening just before we start our final promotions in the first week of March. The date and time haven’t been finalised yet.”
