Yash Chopra biopic on the anvil: Pamela

With biopics being made on iconic names like Milkha Singh, M C Mary Kom, Kishore Kumar and Dara Singh, Pamela Chopra was asked about her plans to have a biopic on the life of her husband.

Late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s widow Pamela Chopra says she would make a biopic on his life sometime in the future.

With biopics being made on iconic names like former ­sprinter Milkha Singh, boxer M C Mary Kom, late singer Kishore Kumar and late actor-wrestler Dara Singh, Pamela was asked about her plans to have a biopic on the life of her husband.

“A biopic on him (Yash Chopra)? Yes, we are thinking about it. It has not been decided, but I am sure at some stage we will make a ­biopic,” said Pamela who was recently at a press ­conference to announce the ­second Yash Chopra Memorial Awards.

Chopra, who helmed iconic films like Kaala Patthar (1979), Deewaar (1975), Kabhi Kabhie (1976), Darr (1993), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), among others, breathed his last Oct 21, 2012. He was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Bhushan and many other such awards.
