New year, several new films! And there are quite a few big Bollywood projects lined up for 2018. Fans are definitely excited, but what about the film industry? Which films are filmmakers looking forward to watching? From the historical grandeur of Padmavati to Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero to Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan in Thugs Of Hindostan, here’s what’s on their mind.

Why? I like Anurag’s work and his stories are always intriguing.

Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka sharma
Why? The film looks really interesting and I just saw the teaser. I think it is something that has created the right kind of curiosity.

Thugs Of Hindostan
Director: Vijay Krishna Acharya
Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh
Why? I would like to end the year with this film. With Aamir and Mr. Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan), this film should be worth a watch.

Why? It’s a film that takes a novel concept to the masses

Why? Because it’s a very interesting story for everyone to know

Cast: Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez
Why? To see how it has shaped up (laughs)

Zero
Why: I have done one song in film and I know what kind of hardwork has gone into making of a film. So, I am really keen to watch the entire film.

Amit V Masurkar

Filmmaer Amit Masurkar is keen on watching Zero.

Why? I had visited the set of this film once and was intrigued by the way it was being shot. I am also a fan of Aanand L Rai’s work and eager to see what he does next.

Kaamyaab

Why? I know the story of Kaamyaab from Hardik and it sounds very interesting and I am keen to see how it turns out.

Lady Bird

Why? I love Greta Gerwig and watched the film in LA. I want to watch it again when it’s out in the theatres here.

Onir

Why? I think this films needs to be watched for reasons more than one.

Cast: Rasika Duggal, Vikas Kumar
Why? I think it has a very interesting story and something that a lot of people will connect with.

Irrfan and Deepika’s next

Director: Vishal Bhardwaj
Cast: Irrfan, Deepika Padukone
Why? Vishal is a prolific director and his work has a certain depth.
