Cherie Blair strikes the 'write' deal

Cherie Blair is to write her autobiography and her publisher promised on Wednesday it would would be "a warm, intimate and often very funny portrait of a family living in extraordinary circumstances."
"I feel so privileged to have travelled so far," Blair said when the deal was announced for the memoir that will be published by Little, Brown Book Group in October next year. She entered politics before her husband, earned much more than he did as prime minister and carved out a legal career while bringing up four children.
"So much has happened - things that my grandma could never have dreamt of - that it feels wrong somehow just to let it pass as if the journey had no meaning," said the human rights barrister and wife of former premier Tony Blair.
