Amit Bhowmik, founder of the magazine says, “The website has been running successfully for two years. I felt the need to launch the magazine because despite the cycle being a sustainable mode of urban transportation and an active sport, we don’t have a single publication dedicated to it.”

The first issue of the magazine was released on the Internet on February 21, on the day of The India Cyclothon Mumbai 2010. Despite being an e magazine, Bhowmik is optimistic about getting a good readership. He says, “It was a conscious decision to come up with a e magazine, because cycling is an eco-friendly commuting option, so coming up with a print version would go against the idea of being eco-friendly. An e magazine gels well with the entire cycling ecosystem.”

He adds, “Having it on the web attracts more readership, anywhere in the world.”
