It has been a delightful week for book lovers. The Delhi Metro became a treasure trove of cherished books by popular Indian authors. Not just that, the books are colour co-ordinated, according to different lines at the metro station! These books have beautiful violet, blue, yellow, and green covers. People can pick up a book, read it, and return it for someone else to enjoy.
India Unbound is a great mixture of memoir, economic analysis, social investigation, political scrutiny and managerial outlook being thrown into the understanding of India. It begins shortly before independence and continues until the new millennium. Grab this book from JLN Metro Station.. Near this painting ;)
Along with having the perfect verbose travel companion, the idea behind this concept is to encourage reading among people in the city. This initiative, has been taken by Penguin Random House, as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.

Intriguing, controversial, almost flabbergasting. Read this detailed book on the history of Delhi through the eyes of several characters spanning through different eras. Delhi by Kushwant Singh would amaze you with its raw yet still polished writing style. Find this book dropped at Pitampura metro station at the concourse near a pretty wall. #booksonthedelhimetro @penguinindia
