HT-Nielsen Top 10: Amish’s Immortal India new entrant in best-selling nonfiction list

Here’s your weekly digest of the best-selling fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

Amish Tripathi’s Sita: Warrior of Mithila continues to hold the number one position on the HT-Nielsen best-seller list for fiction. The second spot, surprisingly, has been taken this week by Paulo Coehlo’s The Alchemist, followed by Arundhati Roy’s The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, Durjoy Datta’s The Boy Who Loved and Chetan Bhagat’s One Indian Girl. Preeti Shenoy’s Life is What You Make It is the new entrant in the fiction category this week.

Amish Tripathi’s nonfiction debut – Immortal India – enters the best-selling nonfiction list at the third spot, while Dr Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind is at number one, followed by Napolean Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering is at number four and Robert T Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad is at number five.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone continues to rule the list of best-selling children’s books by international publishers, followed by The Ship of Secrets (Geronimo Stilton And The Kingdom Of Fantasy# 10) by Geronimo Stilton and Peppa Pig: Little Library. Jeff Kinney’s latest Wimpy Kid offering: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Double Down is at number four and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is at number five.

365 Bedtime Stories is on top in the best-selling children’s books in Indian publishing, followed by Tinkle Double Digest No 36 and No 31 by Anant Pai and Timeless Tales from Panchatantra at number four. Rungeen Singh’s The Best of Jataka Tales is at number five.
