Also a playwright and a former politician apart from being an author, Archer, 69, on his tour, will be looking for an "ideal director who could very convincingly and skilfully transform" his "awe-inspiring novels which have gone on to become best sellers into a movie".

Hailed as a 'master entertainer' by TimeMagazine, Archer has written acclaimed novels like Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less, Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter over the last 30 years. He will be in India for the 'Landmark Jeffrey Archer Tour' May 11-19.

"I consider myself fortunate to have received so much love and appreciation from my fans all over including India. It is my dream to gift my fans with a movie of their all time favourite novel as a humble reciprocation for all the love that they have showered on me over the years. I hope to come across my ideal director who could help my dream come true during my visit to India later this week," Archer said in a statement released here Wednesday.
