To celebrate the Olympic Games in London this summer, travel publishing company Lonely Planet, is offering some of its London travel guides for free for a limited time.

The special offer includes:

"London-The City" walking tour app, providing a route that passes by St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and other main landmarks. The e-book is available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad for free until July 30. To get the app, one must first download the free Lonely Planet Travel Guide app, then within the app choose "Audio Walking Tours" and then select "London - The City," regularly valued at $2.99.

The travel guide for children aged 8 and up, "London - Not for Parents" includes a combination of photos, drawing and cartoons and is available for iPad. It can be downloaded from iTunes for free until August 17. Its original price is $9.99.

The "Recession-busting Britain" provides the best free things to do in England, Scotland and Wales, including guided walks to cathedrals, museums and markets and all the essentials to travel within Britain without spending any money. The e-book is available for Kindle, Nook, Google Books and iTunes and is free for an unlimited time.
