Matthew Weiner, best known as the creator of the superhit American drama series, Mad Men, is writing his first book.

According to Variety, Weiner has inked a publishing deal to write his first novel, which will be published in the fall of 2017.
Described as a dark fable in contemporary Manhattan, Heather, in Totality, revolves around three people who are on a collision course in the pursuit of a beautiful child.
The book will be published by Little, Brown and Company.
Editor-in-chief Judith Clain describes the novel as a mix of Edgar Allan Poe and Henry James.
“In his hands, the characters in Heather, in Totality are deeply complicated and unhinged by their flaws and almost driven wild by their fears,” she said.
