The collection's editor, John-Henri Holmberg, formulated the idea after discovering that his friend, Larsson, had written a story that had never been published, announced publisher Head of Zeus on October 3.

"None of these stories have ever been published in the English language," it revealed.

Larsson rose to fame posthumously, after the publication of the "Millennium" trilogy -- "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," "The Girl Who Played with Fire," and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest" -- which he had written in secret.

A fourth book was never completed, though Larsson's surviving partner, architect and author Eva Gabrielsson, has indicated that she would be up to the task.
