B-Town’s Kapoor prodigy was in town on Friday, looking every bit glamorous, as she threw open the new Tommy Hilfiger store at Elante.

Sporting an outfit from Tommy’s new Fall-Holiday ’13 collection, she says, “I love wearing classic prints, and that’s what this new collection is about — a fresh interpretation of classic looks. It is about getting in touch with traditional prep school roots, with a modern twist in fabric. Besides, it’s always good to look younger in whatever you wear.”

“Now, in my film Aisha, my head gear became popular; the same happened with the bandana I carried in Delhi 6,” adds she.

And who according to her has the best fashion sense among actors? “It has to be my dad, because I dress him up. Amongst actresses, besides me, of course, I like Kalki Koechlin’s fashion sense. Basically, I like people who are themselves — those who do not follow fashion trends blindly.”

About daddy Anil Kapoor’s insistence on her being a part of his next series, after 24, she says, “I am not sure yet; it depends on whether or not I like the role I’m offered. I don’t do favours for anybody in the industry.”

So, is she aiming for ‘simple’ roles now, given her choice of roles of late? “Zoya in Raanjhanaa wasn’t a simple girl; the character was quite complex,” says Sonam, who would be seen next in Yash Raj Films’ untitled project with Ayushmann Khurrana and the remake of Rekha’s Khoobsurat.
