The actress said her film Gulaab Gang talked about women empowerment. It was an empowerment in a lot of ways. First of all, education was necessary for all women. "You see in society a lot of times, the socio-economic background becomes a barrier to many girls and they cannot afford education and they prefer boys to be educated, Madhuri said.

The film tries to tell that girls need to be educated. The film will see Madhuri and Juhi Chawla working together for the first time and will hit screens across India on March 7, a day prior to the International Women's Day.
