Police arrested the principal and two teachers of a private school in Mayur Vihar on Tuesday evening, four months after a 15-year-old girl committed suicide alleging harassment.

The girl, a student of Class 9, committed suicide at her residence on March 20 in Noida sector 52. She was alone at home and did not leave any suicide note, but the family members allege that she was under stress due to her poor performance in two subjects in the exams.
The action came following a directive from Allahabad High Court to senior superintendent of police Dr Ajay Pal Sharma to arrest the school principal, social science teacher and science teacher.
“The school principal and two teachers were arrested as per the development in the case and directive from the honourable Allahabad High Court. A team of sector 24 police station was sent to the residence of all three accused in Delhi and they were arrested,” said Pankaj Pant, station house officer, Sector 24 police station.
Welcoming the move, the girl’s father said, “We are grateful to the honourable high court that they have intervened in this matter and ensured arrest of the three culprits. Now we need justice for our daughter at the earliest.”
