The television viewership rating —TVR, the percentage of viewers watching a programme in a specific time spread from among all viewers at that time — across the three channels showing the final match stood at 11.10% (Star Cricket), 8.13% (Star Sports) and 4.35% (DD1) on the cable & satellite (C&S) platform.

Based on weights it assigns on each platform to its sampled viewer base, TAM calculated the C&S TVR at 23.21% (61% reach, calculated on viewers spending more than a minute on a programme). It similarly calculated the India-Pakistan semi-final match TVR at 20.98% on C&S. Based on similar weighted averages, TAM accorded TVRs of 20.51% to the terrestrial (only DD access; 50% reach) and 24.84% to the digital (set-top box; 61% reach) platforms for the final match.
