Sam Balsara, chairman and managing director of Madison World, has been unanimously elected as chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), the body that monitors sales of publications, for the year 2011-12.
Balsara has been a member of the bureau's council of management since 2002 and was its deputy chairman last year.
T Venkattram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd has been unanimously elected as the deputy chairman for the year 2011-2012, ABC said in a statement.
The other members are Shashidhar Sinha, Universal McCann Erickson; Madhukar Kamath, Mudra Comm; Vikram Sakhuja, Group M Media; Shailesh Gupta, Jagran Prakashan; M Venkatesh, Hindustan Media Ventures; Amit Mathew, Malayala Manorama; Aritra Sarkar, ABP; I. Venkat, Ushodaya Enterprises; Hormusji N Cama, Bombay Samachar; Devendra V Darda, Lokmat Media; SM Ahmad, ITC; Ravi Pisharody, Tata Motors; Debabrata Mukherjee, Coca Cola; & Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp.
