CID gets access to PW officials

A local court on Tuesday sent the arrested PricewaterhouseCoopers auditors, who allegedly colluded with the Satyam management in cooking the books, to police custody for two days.

S Gopalakrishnan, chief relationship partner at PwC, and Srinivas Talluri, who was engagement leader, will be handed over to the CB-CID for interrogation for two days from Wednesday. The court rejected the bail plea of the two auditors, who are in judicial custody till February 6. Meanwhile, the police have claimed the two arrested auditors were never a part of PwC, and worked for auditing firm Lovelock and Lewis (which had been acquired by PwC). It may initiate fresh action if the finding is proved correct.
