On a per share gain of Rs 11, the Fortis Healthcare scrip jumped by 6.8 per cent on Monday, before closing at Rs 156 — a gain of 2.8 per cent.
Experts feel that the decision to not bid at a higher price than Khazanah is in the interest of investors. “The company took the right decision as Parkway was becoming too expensive in terms of valuation at $3.95 per share,” said Rashesh Shah, analyst at ICICIdirect.
