'Indo-Asean economic pact by year-end'

India will sign a comprehensive economic partnership agreement with the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) by the end of this year, Commerce Minister Anand Sharma said on Wednesday.

India had signed a free trade agreement with Asean in September 2009. Eight of the 10 members have implemented the agreement so far.
