Lupin Q1 net up 7% at Rs 210 cr

Drug-maker Lupin on Wednesday announced a 7% year-on-year increase in net profit at Rs 210 crore for the quarter ended June 2011 against Rs 196 crore led by the healthy growth in sales in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America.

Drug-maker Lupin on Wednesday announced a 7% year-on-year increase in net profit at Rs 210 crore for the quarter ended June 2011 against Rs 196 crore led by the healthy growth in sales in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America.

Net sales of the company grew by 17% to Rs 1,543 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 13,16.5 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Formulation sales in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America grew by 27%.
