The country's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday reported 3.1% decline in its total sales in April 2013 at 97,302 units.

The company had posted a total sales of 1,00,415 units in April 2012.
For April 2013, the city-based firm reported its domestic sales at 90,523 units, a marginal rise over 90,255 units in April, 2012, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.
MSI's exports in March went down by 33.28% to 6,779 units from 10,160 units in the year-ago period, the company said.
However, sales of the company's mini segment cars, including the M800, A-Star, Alto and WagonR, rose by 13.69% to 34,927 units from 30,720 units in April 2012.
In the compact segment (comprising the Estilo, Swift and Ritz models), MSI witnessed 17.40% fall in sales at 21,535 units as against 26,072 units April 2012.
Sales of MSI's DZiRE model increased by 25.38% to 19,446 units from 15,510 units April 2012.
In addition, MSI's mid-sized sedan SX4's sales slipped by 5.21% to 601 units from 634 units in the year-ago month, MSI said.

Sales of utility vehicles went down by 4.92% to 5,318 units from 5,593 units in April 2012. Sales of vans dipped by 25.82% to 8,696 units from 11,723 units in the April 2012.
MSI's total passenger car sales increased 4.89% to 76,509 units in April from 72,939 units in April 2012, it added.
