Headhunters tired of dealing with fake resumes can now conduct video interviews with candidates. Shine.com, the online job portal promoted by Firefly Ventures, a fully-owned subsidiary of HT Media Ltd, has launched a new service where recruiters can conduct video interviews with candidates over Internet.
Shine.com has partnered with New Delhi-based technology company Humanitics Dimensions Software to offer the Shine InterVIEW service.
“Shine InterVIEW is a highly efficient means to shortlist as it removes a bulk of the time, cost and effort involved in the interview process,” said Amit Garg, Business Head of Firefly eVentures.
Using the service, recruiters will be able to set up interactions online and send out interview questions to many candidates at once. The candidates will receive the interview notification via email along with a link to download a small application that will enable them to send back recorded video responses. The candidate will require a web camera to record their response. While the recruiters will be required to pay for the service it will be free for candidates.
“Shine interVIEW opens a whole new market for interviews being made available online. There is no such service available as of now and this service brings a quantum jump in the value add for both candidates and recruiters,” said GJ Kulkarni, CEO of Humanitics.
