The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has constituted a committee to review governance at bank boards, which includes assessing the fit and proper criteria for directors and their tenures.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has constituted a committee to review governance at bank boards, which includes assessing the fit and proper criteria for directors and their tenures.

The eight-member committee will “review regulatory compliance requirements” of boards and “to judge what can be rationalized and where requirements need to be enhanced”, the central bank said in a statement.
