RBI fixes USD and Euro refer rates at Rs 46.68, Rs 59.98

The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday fixed the reference rates for the US currency at Rs 46.68 per dollar and Euro at Rs 59.98 per euro as against the yesteday rates of Rs 46.78 per dollar and Rs 59.87 per euro.

In a press release issued by the apex bank, the exchange rate of pound and yen against the rupee is Rs 73.1476 per pound and Rs 54.74 per 100 yen respectively, based on the reference rate of the US dollar and middle rates of the cross currency quotes at noon.

The reference rate is based on 12 noon rates of select banks in Mumbai and the SDR-Rupee rate will be based on this rate, the release added.
