Reliance MediaWorks’ (RMW) has entered into a strategic alliance with UFO Moviez to digitally distribute cinema through satellites.

Its BIG Cinemas is working on its expansion plans and making a foray into three new cities — Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana — by the year end. The multiplex chain, which at present has 525 screens worldwide and 250 in India, plans to add 80 more screens in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai and others by 2010-end.
