The benchmark Sensex surged 108 points in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday as shares of the country's second largest lender ICICI Bank gained after worries on US subprime mortgage crisis eased.

The Sensex gained 108.18 points to 15,426.78 in the first five minutes of trade on account of funds buying in other bluechips as well.
Similarly, the wide-base National Stock Exchange's Nifty rose by 13.90 points to 4,477.90 points.
