The stock market opened higher by over 165 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday, maintaining its upward march on sustained buying by funds in banking and technology shares.

The BSE 30-share index, Sensex, which remained in positive zone after the RBI credit policy, rose further by 165.95 points at 14383.72 points in first 10 minutes of trade.
Similarly, the wide base National Stock Exchange Index, Nifth gained by 50.60 points at 4217.90 points as buying activities extended to shares of Cement and Pharma segments.
