The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose by 64 points in early trade on Friday on sustained buying by funds in blue-chip stocks led by oil and gas sector.

The 30-share index, Sensex, which gained 82 points yesterday, moved up by 63.54 points to 15,896.09 in the first five minutes of trade.

Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty rose by 20.10 points to 4,791.70.
The market sentiment remained bullish on constant rise in global stock markets, marketmen said.
