Suzlon sees 250 mln euro initial outflow on Repower

Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd says it expects an initial cash outflow of about 250 million euros ($335 million) to pay for its successful bid for German wind turbine maker REpower.

Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd said on Friday it expects an initial cash outflow of about 250 million euros ($335 million) to pay for its successful bid for German wind turbine maker REpower.

"We have already invested 100 million euros... another 100-150 million euros is required," the company's chairman and managing director Tulsi Tanti said at a news conference.

He also said the deal would not for now change the company's debt-to-equity ratio of .03 at the end of March 2007.

Areva, the world's biggest maker of nuclear reactors, said on Thursday it had decided not to raise its bid for REpower after a five-month battle with Suzlon.
