TAM ready to play ball with digitisation

Television rating firm Television Audience Measurement (TAM) today issued a statement saying it was bullish about digitisation and was excited to partner the industry in its transformation into the big leap.

Television rating firm Television Audience Measurement (TAM) on Thursday issued a statement saying it was bullish about digitisation and was excited to partner the industry in its transformation into the big leap.

The company released the statement after industry consensus to temporarily defer the release of TAM TV viewing data release for all India market beginning October 7 till December 8, 2012.

"This specific request of data deferment by the industry to TAM is purely to aid digitisation and we, as the central and neutral media research service provider, are ready to partner in this exercise for the benefit of the industry," said LV Krishnan, chief executive officer, TAM Media Research.

This deferred data will be released on December 19, 2012.
