Vibrant Gujarat kicks off, RIL promises Rs. 1L cr

The sixth Vibrant Gujarat Investors Summit kick started in the state capital on Friday as it saw top industry stalwarts including Tata Group retired chairman Ratan Tata, Ambani brothers, Adi Godrej and Anand Mahindra.

The sixth Vibrant Gujarat Investors Summit kick started in the state capital on Friday as it saw top industry stalwarts including Tata Group retired chairman Ratan Tata, Ambani brothers, Adi Godrej and Anand Mahindra.

The event was inaugurated in the morning in the presence of industry leaders along with a number of foreign diplomats including Britain high commissioner, US consul general and over 1500 foreign delegates coming from over 80 countries.

RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani while addressing the gathering pledged investment to the tune of Rs. 1 lakh crore in next three years.

He also announced that RIL in partnership with Gujarat government will develop Gandhinagar based Pandit Dindayal Petroleum University as a world class global university with investment of Rs. 500 crore.

The speakers including Hodrej, Anand Mahindra, Anil Ambani, Gautam Adani and foreign diplomats praised the entrepreneurial spirit of Gujarati community and leadership of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who waste entry elected for the third time in the assembly polls in December 2012.

This time, the focus of the summit is on innovation, knowledge sharing partnership and sustainable development in addition to industrial investments that also create employment opportunities in the state.
