Xerox Corporation on Thursday announced the appointment of Rajat Jain as the managing director of its Indian operations.
Jain was previously at the helm of both Mobile2win India, a mobile phone value-added services provider, and Walt Disney India, Xerox India said in a statement.
He assumes his Xerox role on February 20, it added.
"India is a country of vital importance to Xerox. With his deep knowledge of the local marketplace and the channel business model, Rajat will be able to build on Xerox's strong leadership position in both technology and services," Xerox Corp's developing markets operations president Hervé Tessler said.
Jain will be responsible for leading Xerox India's strategy implementation and business operations, including sales of products and services, marketing, brand recognition, and customer service operations for Xerox India.
He will focus on expanding Xerox's channel presence and further strengthening the company's partner relationships across India.
Jain has held a leadership position in Sony Entertainment and has been associated with ASC Enterprises, Benckiser and Hindustan Lever.
