Possible Future EV Launches by South Korean Automakers
According to media reports, Hyundai is expected to launch three more locally made electric vehicles in India. One of the electric vehicles from the South Korean automaker can be the Inster EV, which is currently being sold overseas. The Inster EV can be brought in as an alternative in the micro SUV segment and as a rival to the Tata Punch EV.
The overseas version of the Inster EV boasts two different battery pack sizes: a 42 kWh and a 49 kWh, with a claimed range of approximately 350 km. However, the other two electric vehicles, which are expected to come to India, continue to be under wraps by the company.
Furthermore, the luxury arm of Hyundai, Genesis, is expected to officially enter the Indian market by 2027. While the brand still remains tight-lipped on its portfolio for the Indian market, it boasts two electric vehicles in its overseas portfolio.
