Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has added a new luxury sports car to his garage, bringing home a BMW Z4 M40i. The leg-spin bowler shared the update on social media, posting photos with his parents alongside the car.

In the post, Chahal credited his parents for their support and described the moment as a personal milestone. “Brought my new car home with the two people who made every dream possible. Watching my parents witness and relish this milestone is the real luxury,” he wrote.

Chahal is a regular fixture in Indian cricket and has represented teams such as Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. Known for his consistency in white-ball cricket, the 34-year-old continues to be one of India’s most recognisable spin bowlers.

The car purchased by Chahal is the BMW Z4 M40i, the performance-focused version of BMW’s two-door roadster sold in India. The Z4 M40i is currently priced at 87.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

What makes the Z4 M40i so quick?

Powering the Z4 M40i is a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 2,998 cc. The engine produces 335 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. BMW claims a 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The car comes equipped with an adaptive M suspension featuring Sport and Sport Plus driving modes, along with an M Sport Differential, M Sport brakes and variable sport steering to support its performance-focused setup.

A closer look at the roadster Chahal just brought home

In terms of dimensions, the Z4 measures 4,324 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,303 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,470 mm. It features a two-door layout.

Inside, the Z4 M40i BMW Live Cockpit Professional with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity and wireless phone charging. A Harman Kardon surround sound system is available as an optional feature.

On the outside, the roadster gets LED headlights and tail-lamps, staggered M light alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, and M aerodynamic elements with cerium grey accents.
