2 panels set up to probe land use violations, 923 cases found

Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted two committees to probe land use violations as 923 cases have been detected in government residential areas where plots were being used for commercial activities.

Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted two committees to probe land use violations as 923 cases have been detected in government residential areas where plots were being used for commercial activities.

Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand informed this in the Legislative Council. He said that as soon as the two committees set up for Jammu and Kashmir regions submit their report the government will take necessary action.

Of the 923 violations of land use detected in the state 742 have been detected in Jammu region and 181 in Kashmir, he added.
