23-year-old woman hangs self in Panchkula

A 23-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence on Tuesday. According to Chandi Mandir SHO inspector Suraj Chawla, the victim, Suman, was found hanging from a ceiling fan by her mother-in-law around 12:30pm.

According to Chandi Mandir SHO inspector Suraj Chawla, the victim, Suman, was found hanging from a ceiling fan by her mother-in-law around 12:30pm.

The police were informed and the victim was rushed to the government hospital in Sector 6, where she was declared brought dead by the doctors. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. The police have ruled out any foul play.

The body has been kept in the hospital mortuary and will be handed over to the family after the postmortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC at the Chandi Mandir police station.
