4 acquitted in case of stabbing

Additional district and sessions judge Najar Singh on Tuesday acquitted four persons booked on charges of murder of colony number 5 resident after the complainant and the wife of the deceased turned hostile.

Additional district and sessions judge Najar Singh on Tuesday acquitted four persons booked on charges of murder of colony number 5 resident after the complainant and the wife of the deceased turned hostile.

After the prosecution failed to prove allegations as the witnesses turned hostile the court acquitted Pradeep, Deepak, Dharminder and Neeraj, all residents of the said colony booked on charges of murder of Pradeep in February last year. However, Shaan, an accused in the case, is a proclaimed offender.

The UT police had booked five persons on the complaint of Sanjay, who claimed that he was a resident of colony number 5 and a student of Adarsh School in Burail.

In his complaint Sanjay said on February 25 last year, he along with Pradeep (deceased) and his wife and a friend Rajan were returning home from Sector 45 mandi when the accused with sharp-edged weapons and rods attacked them leaving him and Pradeep injured.
